Wedding Photography and Videography

The most important day of your life! Our quality wedding photography in Trinidad & Tobago will keep the memory fresh for all time.

Many families engage both photographers and videographers to record the occasion and the build-up to the special day. Others simply want photographs.

Below you will see a gallery of photos from weddings in Trinidad that I have covered.

Please click on the tabs below, “Information” and “My Style“, to reveal the hidden content. There you will learn more about the services of myself and my company, and may get ideas for recording your special day. Some like just some photographs, others want photography and video, and the production of extensive albums.

A lot of couples want photography and video to preserve the memory of their wedding and the invited guests. I, together with colleagues will cover both photography and video, or can be hired for one of those elements.

Some couples want just photos from the church and the party afterwards – others want extensive albums and videos that cover the lead up to the event and glimpses of the two individual lives that are to become united. In the  “Information”  tab below, you will see a range of suggested shoots (photo, video, or both) to get you thinking.

Call me to discuss plans and budgets.

Video and Photography

A lot of couples want wedding photography and also video to preserve the memory of their wedding and the invited guests. I, together with colleagues will cover both photography and video, or can be hired for one of those elements. Whether you want just one photographer; a photographer and a videographer (most popular choice); or is you want two videographers and/or two photographers, my colleagues and I have you covered.

Pre-Wedding Shoots or just the Wedding Day?

Some couples want just photos from the church and the party afterwards – others want extensive albums and videos that cover the lead up to the event and glimpses of the two individual lives that are to become united. In this tab, you will see a range of suggested shoots (photo, video, or both) to get you thinking.

Albums and Photo Proofing Gallery

There are numerous options to discuss over the type and size of album. Similarly, there are numerous options for video editing.

After a shoot, I load photo thumbnails into a “proofing gallery” for you to reject and approve photos for inclusion in your album. This can be password protected to keep it private, and you can share it with your family and friends to make joint decisions.

Creative / Conservative

I love creative photography and taking the time to get the light just right for a portrait with a greater emotional impact.

If you want something modern, something avant-garde, then talk to me about that. The default would be something slightly more conservative that would please everyone’s grandmother.

Budgets, Planning, Scheduling

Call me to discuss plans and what can be done for your available budget. You’ll find a contact form and a WhatsApp widget on every page. For those without WhatsApp, you will see my cellphone number on my contact page, called Get In Touch

We will have a conversation options and I will send you documentation of some of the options with prices. After further communication I will send you a quotation. When approved we will turn this into a contract. The contract is not just for my protection, it will state what you are paying for and will quantify the ‘deliverables’ fro your protection.

My Style

As a photographer it is my duty to make the person standing in front my lens feel that we are connected as a close knitted family. My client must firstly feel and know that I care, know that I am here to support you in this momentous occasion, even if it’s a portrait session, a wedding, a corporate shoot or street portraiture you must feel that we are connected. How does one connect with a client or a stranger on the street, how do you show a client that you understand what they want at the end of that memorable ‘click’. I believe that to achieve this connection you have to love your craft and allow it radiate in your aura and character.

Wedding Photography

One of the most trying events to shoot are weddings. The pressure is on the photographer to not miss a moment that may seem trivial even to the bride or groom but becomes precious afterwards when they sit with friends and family for the viewing. A client should watch a capture and time travel back to that day, yesterday, last week, last year, last minute. I had clients open a photo and remember the exact thought the moment captured. The excitement of the day, the nervous twitches, the glitches and helpful hints are important. The ability to be there connecting but also to be the fly on the wall. Then knowledge of when to use a flash and when not to be distracting. There are times when I have to use a high ISO so as not to seem intrusive (as a flash sometimes makes us feel) at the expense of a grainy photo but which becomes a piece of artistic expression .  The wedding is by far one of the most emotional events to capture. The décor the family members the children. The timing of the moment that tear falls or the gentle gasping of hands. The first look and the kiss. How can I be part of it all and still not be in the way of the viewers. When do I move in, when do I pull away. This knowledge comes only with experience and time.

Shooting Style

My style of shooting may vary and depends on occasion, people or environment. I love candid shots being that I am based in street photography so I enjoy shooting with a 135mm lens or 100mm. with this focal length I can be in your face but behind the crowd capturing your hugs, our kisses or your greetings without being a part of that intimate moment. I attach the 50mm lens and I am there inside with you filling the frame  getting detailed expressions moments that would have been blown in the dust if not for this lens. I am now able to speak to you, tell you to straighten your tie, look at me, direct and control the set, create shots, adjust postures, I am there to even protect and remind you that you make up need not to be smudged yet. And then the group shots. So many personalities that I have to make comfortable in so little time. Breakin the ice on a group is not the same as with one or two persons. How do I get them all to laugh and connect posing them at the same time, controlling my canvas as I paint with my lens. The ability to connect and touch them all has become a part of my style. And I come with the forewarning that you will be seeing me a lot today and that I sweat, I can’t stop the passionate juice from flowing. I love photography.

A photographer walked up to me in the Independence Day parade one year and told me that he had been following me for a few blocks and he learned so much just by watching how I pick my shots. He said every photo he saw me took I smiled with the person in front of the lens and I smiled with myself. He watches me make decisions of when to connect and when not to connect with the person or persons. The art of photography is just that for me its ART. A precious painting of the soul captured digitally or on  whatever you format is. I treat my clients as I would myself. I pay attention and adjust as necessary. I let them know that we are in this together and that I am here not just to take pictures but to document the best of you.
